Chimera Entertainment has announced a new launch date for the Steam Early Access version of Songs of Silence, now set for June 4, 2024. Originally slated for May 23, the Munich-based developer decided to push back the release following a successful Kickstarter campaign that exceeded its goals, leading to additional development requirements including stretch goals, physical rewards, and implementing feedback from their demo and closed beta testing. The team assures that this delay will not impact the full release schedule or the fulfillment of Kickstarter rewards.
The developer aims to enhance the gaming experience by using the additional development time to refine Songs of Silence into a superior product. They have expressed confidence that the delay will prove beneficial by ensuring a polished game upon its Early Access debut.
In the meantime, Chimera is also finalizing their post-campaign processes, including distributing backer surveys and managing new and extended pledges through their partnership with BackerKit. Delivery of all physical rewards is targeted for late Summer 2024, aligning with the game’s development timeline.
