Battlefield Choral Boosters
Battlefield Choral Boosters provide financial and organizational support to the choir programs at Battlefield High School. Parent members provide time and talent during all choir events, concerts and fundraisers. Booster meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month in the choir room, starting at 7:00pm. Welcome to Battlefield Choirs!
The Battlefield High School Choral Department is committed to excellence in the performance of choral music literature from the Middle Ages to the 21st Century. Our choirs perform music from countries around the world in their original languages, as well as from our own American heritage. Sacred music is performed for its historical and artistic merit and not for its theological content.
Students are afforded the opportunity to develop their individual vocal talents in a positive, encouraging, ensemble setting. Several concerts are presented in public performances throughout the year.
Our instructional curriculum includes:
- Methods for developing appropriate vocal production
- Choral blend and articulation
- Sight-reading
- Music theory
- Music history
- Performance and rehearsal decorum
